Biography

Co-Chair

I am Dr. Ruben Hermann, MD, PhD, and I serve as an attending physician specializing in ENT and head and neck surgery at Lyon University Hospital, Edouard Herriot. I have been working in this department since 2017, which is recognized as the primary reference center for ENT-related emergencies in the Lyon metropolitan area.

Since 2017, I have been actively engaged with the national reference center for Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HHT), led by Dr. Sophie Dupuis Girod. In this role, I have developed expertise in managing Epistaxis and various other HHT-related manifestations in the ENT region. I have also participated in several research projects regarding local and systemic treatment options for HHT.

I am also a member of the HHT working group within the European Reference Network VASCERN. I’ve been part of this network since 2019, contributing to our shared mission of advancing patient care and research in HHT.
