Registration is offered across several categories to accommodate clinicians, researchers, trainees, and the patient community:

What does the registration fee include?
In-person registration includes full access to all scientific sessions, the Welcome Reception (Monday evening), daily lunches and coffee breaks, the Poster Session (wine & cheese), and the Gala Dinner (Thursday evening).
Virtual registration includes access to session recordings and conference materials following the event.

Can I bring a guest?
Yes, guests are welcome to join for social events only. Guest passes do not include access to scientific sessions or conference meals.

What is the cancellation policy?
Conference registration cancellations must be submitted in writing on or before September 21, 2026 to receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be issued after September 21, 2026.
Hotel reservations are managed separately through Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club and are subject to the resort’s cancellation policy. Hotel cancellations must be made at least 14 days prior to arrival to avoid penalties.

How do I book a hotel room at the conference rate?
Attendees can reserve rooms directly with Ocean Edge Resort. Be sure to mention the Cure HHT group to receive the discounted conference rate. A booking link will also be provided when available.

Can I extend my stay?
Yes. The conference rate is available for up to three days before and after the conference dates, subject to availability. We recommend booking early to secure your preferred dates.
What are the closest airports?
The nearest airports to Brewster, MA include:

What is the best way to get to the resort?
Renting a car is the most convenient option, as public transportation on Cape Cod is limited. Rideshare services, taxis, and bus options to Hyannis are also available, with a short drive to the resort.
Are there visa requirements for international attendees?
The conference is held in the United States. International attendees should review visa or ESTA requirements well in advance and allow sufficient time for processing.
What should I know about health insurance?
We strongly recommend that international attendees purchase travel health insurance prior to arrival.
What activities are available?
Ocean Edge Resort offers access to a private beach, pools, fitness center, golf, tennis, and spa services. Cape Cod also offers scenic biking trails, beaches, seafood dining, and local shops—all within a short distance.

Who is eligible?
The Palmer Family Fund for Young Investigator Travel Award supports early-career investigators attending the 16th HHT International Scientific Conference.
Residents Postdoctoral or Clinical Fellows Medical Students PhD Candidates Early-Stage Investigators
Early-Stage Investigators must be within 3 years of completing a terminal degree, residency, or fellowship at the time of abstract submission.

Individuals who have previously received this award are not eligible for the 2026 cycle.
How are awardees selected?
Awardees are selected based on abstract score. Recipients will be announced by July 13, 2026.
What does the award include?
Award recipients will receive $1,000 USD upon arrival at the conference to apply toward travel and hotel costs.

How do I submit an abstract?
Abstracts must be submitted through the online submission portal by Sunday, May 31, 2026. Submissions are limited to 250 words and should follow the required structured format.
Do I need to attend if my abstract is accepted?
Yes. At least one author must register for the conference and present the work in person in order for the abstract to be included in the program.
What is the dress code?
Business casual attire is recommended for all conference sessions. For the Gala Dinner, business casual to cocktail attire is appropriate.
Are there any COVID-19 safety requirements?
Currently, there are no COVID-19 testing or mask requirements for attendance at the 16th HHT International Scientific Conference.
However, conference organizers reserve the right to implement additional health and safety measures should recommendations or requirements from local authorities, the CDC, or the venue change prior to the event.
