Biography

Dr. Jovine received his PhD at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, UK followed by his postdoctoral work in the group of Professor Paul Wasserman at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. He is now a Professor of Structural Biology at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden.

Dr. Jovine’s research focuses on the structure and function of reproduction and ZP domain proteins. His current work with Endoglin crystal structure leads to a better understanding of the different signaling functions of endoglin and the design of novel inhibitors / blocking antibodies that may be useful to treat HHT patients.
